The moment the document is uploaded, StrevAI begins processing it. The AI identifies and extracts structured data across the document — serial numbers, model numbers, MAC addresses, purchase dates, vendor names, warranty terms, coverage periods, asset descriptions, unit costs, and quantities. It recognizes field patterns specific to asset management rather than applying generic OCR — understanding that "S/N:" precedes a serial number, that a date range following "Warranty Period:" defines coverage, and that a PO line item represents an individual asset.

Strev presents every extracted field alongside the source document for side-by-side review. Fields the AI is highly confident about are pre-populated and ready to confirm. Fields where confidence is lower are flagged for manual review. Users correct any field, add information the AI didn't extract, and map extracted values to the right Strev fields — standard or custom. Once reviewed and confirmed, Strev creates the asset record instantly — populating every confirmed field, applying the correct asset type classification, assigning to the appropriate location or department if specified in the source document, and setting the record status to active or pending as appropriate. For invoices with multiple line items, Strev creates individual records for each asset on the document in a single confirmation step. A ten-item purchase order creates ten complete, linked asset records simultaneously.
